AVGLaw has been invited and participated in the 2nd China-Europe Legal Forum (CELF), which took place in Vienna, Austria, on 26 and 27 June 2014.
Organised by the China Law Society & the Austrian-Chinese Law Societ and hosted by the Austrian Ministry of Justice under the High Patronage of the European Parliament, the China-Europe Legal Forum was devoted to “Legal Systems and Economic Cooperation” and gathered authorities and experts from both regions to analyse the legal challenges of this fruitful relationship.
The Opening Ceremony was chaired by the President of the Austrian-Chinese Law Society, Mr. Hannes Jarolim. It was followed by panels on different topics such as legal cooperation in the process of economic globalization and regional economic integration, antitrust and competition law, corporate law and economic cooperation, tort law, alternative dispute resolution and the functioning of diverse judicial systems.
Dr Yannis Avgerinos, Managing Partner of AVGLaw, was invited to speak on “The interaction between Free Trade Zones’ (FTZ) and WTO laws and regulations”
