Greek government launches privatisation process for regional airports and small ports & marinas

Development of Regional Airports

The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) approved the procedure and the terms for the concession of the right to use, operate, manage and exploit Regional Airports, which are divided into 2 groups of 7-10 airports each.
Group A includes the airports of Thessaloniki, Corfu, Chania, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Aktion, Kavala and optionally up to 3 of the airports of Alexandroupoli, Araxos , Kalamata and Nea Achialos.
Group B includes the airports of Rhodes, Kos, Samos, Mitilini, Mykonos, Santorini, Skiathos and optionally up to 3 airports of Limnos, Chios, Karpathos and Nea Achialos.

First group of Small Ports and Marinas (Alimos, Poros, Hydra, New Epidavros)

The HRADF also approved the procedure and the terms for the concession of the rights to use, operate, manage and exploit the first group of Small Ports which includes (a) the marina of Alimos, (b) the tourist anchorage of New Epidaurus, (c) part of the port of Hydra, and (d) part of the port and the tourist shelter of Poros.
